Full Root-level Access
Learn what exactly ‘full root-level access’ means, what benefits it will give you and the ways to use them to adjust your server.
Having root-level access to your server means that you will be able to view and update any file on it, including important system files. You can also install software that can modify specific settings on your server during the process, so that the installation is possible only if you're logged in as the root user. The aforementioned has full privileges, which means that you'll have full control over the machine whenever you want and you'll be able to perform anything you need. You can also create additional users either with the same rights or with fewer rights, depending on what you need them for - day-to-day tasks, other server administrators, etc. To be on the safe side, it is generally recommended to use the root account only when you really need it and not for tasks you can do using other accounts. You can use a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console in order to connect to the server and to manage it at the root level.

Full Root-level Access in VPS Servers
Our
VPS service come with different levels of access, to give you the option to select the one you need, according to your level of experience and on what you'll need the server for. If you get a VPS without Control Panel, you will have full root-level access and you will manage everything through a console, unless you install some third-party instrument. The servers which are ordered with the DirectAdmin or the cPanel website hosting Control Panel also feature full root access, yet most of the things which are linked to your web content can be performed via a graphical interface and not a console. You'll be able to set up various different frameworks or media streaming software, for instance, without any problems. When you obtain the virtual hosting server with the Hepsia Control Panel, you can still use a Secure Shell console to connect, but the root access is restricted. Yet, the Hepsia-equipped servers are the simplest to manage.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers
Each and every
dedicated server that we offer features full root-level access, when the server is ordered without a Control Panel, or with cPanel or DirectAdmin. If you'd like to install and run heavy, resource-demanding apps and they have special requirements regarding the server software setting that can't be fulfilled by a standard shared website hosting plan, our servers are the right solution. Without any Control Panel at hand, you can access the server and change its settings and the content which you upload using a console, whereas with cPanel and DirectAdmin, you'll have a graphical interface to take care of everything related to your web content, and the majority of server-side settings. As expected, when you get a dedicated server devoid of Control Panel, you can always set up some third-party software instrument manually, as long as it is compatible with the OS that you have selected at signup. When you choose the Hepsia Control Panel on your order page, you'll have restricted root access, but you'll still be able to perform a number of things through a Secure Shell console.
